Those We Have Welcomed Into Our Home

It's hard to believe we have been living in South Carolina for almost a year. Where has the time gone? It's been good and it's been bad and sometimes really bad. The adjustment from being away from everything and everyone familiar has been really difficult, but we are slowly starting to adjust to our new way of life.

The transition from Hoosiers to Carolinians has been a tough one and we will always be Hoosiers at Heart, but "ya'll" is starting to creep into our conversations more and more. The transition is a little less painful when familiar faces show up at our door. We have loved having each and everyone one of you and hope to see return visits and new visits in the coming year. Here are some of our cherished moments of visits over the past year.I will start with the last visit first (mainly because I have to find the CD that contains the earlier visit photos LOL). So to begin with, here is our wonderful time with...........

THE BARR FAMILY

A visit to where I work at Hilton Head Island Airport.

Our Home

This was a picture we took last Sunday. So beautiful!
Yesterday it was 80 degrees and the flowers out front were blooming again.
The cold weather of Indiana is the one thing we don't miss.

Here is a picture of our house.

Fisherman Steve

Steve has been busy hastling the fish here on the island. He's gotten pretty good at making the switch from Indiana freshwater crappie and bluegill to South Carolina saltwater flounder, red fish and shark. I haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet, but I'm getting there. For all you non-saltwater fisherman, this is a flounder. It was so big that this picture is on display at the Blue Water Bait & Tackle Shop at the South Beach Marina in Sea Pines Plantation.

Only a face a mother could love!

Looks more like a gold fish than a red fish!

This baby gater wanted to take a dip in someone's pool.
